About the role

We are looking for an Integration Automation & Agent Manager to design and lead the automation and AI agent layer of our accounting automation platform.

This role sits at the intersection of AI agents, integrations, automation pipelines, and product delivery. You will design how our system connects with external tools (ERP, accounting software, banking APIs), orchestrates AI agents, and automates complex accounting workflows.

This is a hands-on builder role in an early-stage startup - not a purely managerial position. You will work directly with founders to translate accounting processes into scalable automation systems powered by AI agents.

Your mission is to turn fragmented accounting workflows into a robust network of integrations, automations, and AI-driven agents.

Your responsibilities

As Integration Automation & Agent Manager, you will:

• Automation & AI Agents

  • Design and implement AI agent workflows for accounting and financial operations,

  • Orchestrate multi-step automation pipelines involving LLMs, APIs, and internal systems,

  • Design agent architectures for document processing, categorization, reconciliation, and validation,

  • Improve reliability, observability, and control of AI-driven automations.

• Integrations

  • Lead development of integrations with ERP, accounting systems, and banking APIs,

  • Design a scalable API and webhook architecture,

  • Implement and manage integration orchestration frameworks.

• Workflow automation

  • Translate accounting workflows into automated pipelines,

  • Design automation systems for onboarding, document ingestion, classification, and reporting,

  • Identify opportunities for AI-assisted process automation.

• Platform architecture

  • Collaborate with CTO / engineering on automation and agent infrastructure,

  • Define standards for automation, integrations, and data pipelines,

  • Ensure reliability, monitoring, and fail-safe mechanisms for automated processes.

• Leadership

  • Coordinate small automation/integration engineering efforts,

  • Define best practices for automation and agent architecture,

  • Contribute to the product and technical roadmap.

Must have

• 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, automation, or integrations,

• Experience building API-based integrations and automation pipelines,

• Experience with AI / LLM systems or agent-based workflows,

• Strong knowledge of APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines,

• Experience translating business workflows into automated systems,

• Strong problem-solving and system design skills,

• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work in early-stage environments,

• C1+ level of spoken and written English and Polish.

Nice to have

• Experience with accounting, fintech, ERP, or finance systems,

• Experience building AI agents or orchestration systems,

• Experience with tools like:

  • LangChain / LlamaIndex

  • Temporal / Airflow / Prefect

  • Zapier / Make / n8n

  • Vector databases

• Experience building integrations with accounting tools (Xero, QuickBooks, etc.)
