About the role
We are looking for an Accountant to support the development of a modern accounting office group in Poland. This is a hands-on operational role focused on: overseeing accounting operations, developing automation and optimization measures for accounting firms, and implementing defined improvements.
You will work closely with the founding team and investors to help build a scalable accounting services platform based on standardized processes, modern technology, and operational excellence.
Your mission will be to transform traditional accounting offices into efficient, technologically advanced organizations capable of scaling their client base while maintaining high service quality.
Your responsibilities
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for:
Participating in the evaluation of accounting offices prior to acquisition (processes, organization, service quality),
Analyzing accounting and payroll processes and identifying operational risks,
Assessing accounting tools and systems used by firms (including Comarch Optima and SaldeoSMART),
Preparing recommendations and operational improvement plans for post-acquisition integration,
Implementing operational standards in acquired accounting offices,
Standardizing accounting processes, document workflows, and quality control processes,
Introducing process improvements and automation initiatives,
Training teams and supporting the rollout of new operational standards,
Monitoring operational efficiency and service quality,
In the long term – managing accounting office operations across the group.
Must have
At least 3 years of experience working in an accounting office or accounting department,
Hands-on experience with accounting systems such as Comarch Optima and/or SaldeoSMART,
Experience working with accounting or payroll processes,
Strong organizational skills and the ability to structure operational processes,
Interest in automation and technology in accounting operations,
High level of accountability and sense of ownership,
Strong communication skills and ability to work with teams,
Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to grow in a dynamic environment,
Proficiency in Polish at C1 level or higher (spoken and written).
Nice to have
Experience with document workflow or accounting automation tools,
Experience running your own accounting office,
Experience implementing operational improvements in accounting teams,
Experience coordinating or mentoring accounting staff,
Interest in technology tools and their implementation in the accounting industry and process optimization.
